SimpleCell

Cellular Tower and Sector Mapping Made Easy

Simplifies the generation and maintenance of wireless tower and sector mapping data

To ensure that both 9-1-1 Phase I and Phase II wireless callers are accurately mapped, it is recommended that wireless cell sector and tower data be integrated with PSAP Mapped ALI software. This information will assist in not only identifying the accurate location of the 9-1-1 caller, but also will allow for a number of validations to occur.

SimpleCell enables GIS staff to quickly and easily generate wireless infrastructure information for the first time, and greatly simplifies the on-going maintenance and update of the mapped towers and sectors

SimpleCell Benefits

  • Data Format Validations
Cellular data is scanned for errors on import, allowing for immediate identification of anomalies.
  • Helps Verify 9-1-1 Caller Locations
Data developed in SimpleCell is used to accurately locate wireless 9-1-1 callers.
  • Insures Accurate Tower Locations and Attributes
Because the tabular tower and sector data is mapped, the assigned address, name, and physical location can be verified.
  • ESRI Platform
Developed on ESRI’s ArcGIS technology in 2002 making it the first ArcGIS-based 9-1-1 cellular data development and maintenance system.

Additional Benefits

  • Minimal Effort Required to Maintain Data
Update Wizard and Map-based functionality allows for visual creation and maintenance of data.
  • Little Training Required
SimpleCell runs on ESRI ArcGIS, the industry's standard GIS platform, enabling GIS staff to leverage existing skill sets.
  • Integrates with MapSAG
Fully compatible and integrated with MapSAG 9-1-1 GIS Data Management System.
  • Compatibility with 911 Database Standards
Import and export data in the NENA standard data format for use with other 911 database software.

“We use SimpleCell on a daily basis as I do wireless routing for eight metropolitan counties.  The software compares my primary coverage with the new rollup database and flags anything that is different. This software is the only one that I know of that can do that. The State of Minnesota Dept. of Public Safety is considering doing this for the entire state.”
